HR Advisor – Exeter (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Advisor to join a family‑owned business in Exeter. The role offers both full‑time and part‑time options and a hybrid working model, allowing one day a week to work from home.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional HR guidance and support to managers and employees across multiple sites.
• Manage employee‑relations cases, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and capability matters from start to finish.
• Coach managers on employment law and HR best practices.
• Support change initiatives, organisational development and HR projects.
• Assist with policy development and continuous improvement of HR processes.
• Contribute to wellbeing initiatives and promote a positive employee experience.
• Analyse HR data and insights to aid decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar role.
• CIPD Level 5 or 7 (or working towards).
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HR systems and data management.
