HR Advisor – Full‑time, £40k + car allowance

About the role

We are partnering with a leading social‑housing construction contractor to find an experienced HR Advisor for their Westminster office. This permanent, full‑time position offers a competitive salary of £40‑45k plus a car allowance.

Key responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end ownership of employee mobilisation and resource management.
• Manage short‑ and long‑term sickness cases and develop action plans.
• Build strong partnerships with senior managers and support HR initiatives that drive branch performance.
• Lead union and pay negotiations, and handle major terms and conditions changes.
• Provide capability coaching, conflict resolution, retention planning and redundancy consultations.
• Support branches with gross misconduct and grievance hearings and deliver HR training.
• Act as the knowledge expert on HR issues, offering business‑focused, risk‑balanced advice.
• Prepare monthly HR statistics for board reporting.

Required profile

• Pro‑active and experienced HR professional with a track record in construction or social‑housing environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential and complex employee matters.
