HR Advisor

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an HR Advisor to join its Bristol site (Emerald Park). You will partner with operational leaders across warehouse and transport functions, delivering proactive HR support and helping shape a positive culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice to managers on employee relations, performance and people management.
• Manage end‑to‑end absence, disciplinary, grievance and long‑term sickness cases.
• Maintain a visible, approachable HR presence by walking the floor and building relationships.
• Support teams in identifying and developing employee engagement initiatives.
• Analyse HR data and contribute to the site people plan and broader HR strategy.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a generalist HR role with strong employee‑relations exposure in a fast‑moving environment.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, including trade‑union matters.
• Confident communicator able to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified.
