HR Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an HR Advisor to join the People function at K3 Advisory Group in Bolton. The role will support day‑to‑day HR operations, provide first‑line advice and help integrate new employees and businesses. It is a hybrid position with three days in the office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for general HR‑related queries from employees and managers.
• Provide professional advice on HR policies, employment law and best practices (with guidance).
• Support the HR Business Partner team with employee‑relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee records.
• Coordinate training sessions, performance reviews and employee‑engagement initiatives.
• Monitor staff absence and assist with the return‑to‑work process.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data‑protection legislation in all HR activities.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of HR processes and documentation.
• Assist with onboarding, contract changes and leaver administration.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualification desirable.
• Experience in an HR administration or coordinator role.
• Good understanding of basic HR principles and employment law.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, willing to learn and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using HR information systems (or willingness to learn).
