HR Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a proactive HR Advisor to join our growing team at SYLO Beyond HR, part of Impact HR. Working remotely for clients in the Oxford area, you will deliver pragmatic, people‑first HR advice that balances legal compliance with commercial sense.

Key responsibilities

• Provide phone, email and online support to clients, ensuring advice is clear, consistent and high‑quality.
• Guide clients through employee‑relations matters such as disciplinary, grievance and capability cases.
• Advise on short‑ and long‑term absence management, including sickness, holidays and compassionate leave.
• Offer first‑line advice on TUPE transfers and redundancy processes, preparing compliant documentation.
• Support family‑friendly and flexible‑working policies, and promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Collaborate with the HR Consultancy team to align advice with internal tools and frameworks.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Service‑driven attitude with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Commercially minded, able to balance legal requirements with business needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
