HR Advisor – On‑site FMCG Manufacturing Role

About the role

We are seeking an HR Advisor to join a values‑led FMCG manufacturing business in the North West. You will be a visible, trusted presence on the shop floor, supporting managers and employees across the full HR generalist remit.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee relations casework end‑to‑end, including absence, grievances and disciplinaries up to final written warning.
• Coach and empower managers to handle difficult conversations and people issues confidently.
• Support team leaders with performance management and talent development initiatives.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding for operational roles.
• Contribute to projects covering wellbeing, employee engagement, early‑career programmes and apprenticeships.
• Analyse HR KPIs, produce reports and ensure payroll accuracy for the site.

Required profile

• Previous HR experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a similarly fast‑paced operational environment (essential).
• Strong employee relations knowledge with the confidence to manage a full caseload.
• Natural relationship‑builder able to earn trust from shop‑floor staff to senior leadership.
• Ability to challenge, influence and hold people to account, not just advise.
• Resilient, adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities at speed.
• CIPD qualified or working towards qualification.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site with occasional shift‑pattern flexibility.
