HR Advisor – Remote (Oxford area)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive HR Advisor to join our growing team at SYLO Beyond HR, delivering people‑first consultancy to clients across the UK. Working remotely from the Oxford area, you will provide pragmatic, commercially‑mindful HR advice and support to a diverse portfolio of organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice to clients via phone, email and online calls, ensuring high‑quality, compliant solutions.
• Guide clients through employee‑relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance and capability matters.
• Advise on short‑ and long‑term absence management, supporting return‑to‑work processes.
• Offer first‑line guidance on TUPE transfers and redundancy procedures, preparing necessary documentation.
• Support family‑friendly and flexible‑working policies, including statutory and enhanced arrangements.
• Collaborate with the HR Consultancy team to align advice with internal tools and operational frameworks.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience delivering HR advice and support to client organisations.
• Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
• Ability to balance legal compliance with commercial considerations.
• Excellent communication skills and a service‑driven attitude.
• Experience handling employee‑relations, absence management, TUPE and redundancy matters.
