HR Advisor / Senior HR Advisor (4-5 days per week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor to join a busy HR team within a leading engineering firm in Leeds. The role is hands‑on, covering the full employee lifecycle across multiple sites in engineering, construction and rail environments. The position starts on‑site with the option of one hybrid day after the probation period.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, inductions and probation processes.
• Provide employee‑relations support including absence management, disciplinary, grievance and capability cases.
• Deliver payroll and HR administration assistance.
• Support remuneration, benefits and annual review processes.
• Coordinate performance management and appraisal cycles.
• Develop HR policies, ensure compliance and conduct GDPR audits.
• Assist health and wellbeing initiatives and provide advisory support.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of HR advisory experience.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or higher (essential).
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and attention to detail.
