HR Assistant – Full‑time, Liverpool

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Assistant to join a busy specialist education setting in Liverpool. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will be involved in the full employee lifecycle, gaining broad exposure to recruitment, onboarding and day‑to‑day HR administration.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries.
• Support end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Liaise with recruitment agencies and manage safer recruitment compliance.
• Conduct pre‑employment checks and maintain accurate HR records.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR administration and support.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience in HR, recruitment or administration (essential).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
• Strong transferable skills for a career in HR.
