HR Business Lead – Strategic HR Partner

About the role

Parkhaven Trust is seeking an experienced, values‑led HR Business Lead to help shape a high‑performing, inclusive culture. Working directly with the CEO and Executive Team, you will align people priorities with service delivery, growth plans and the needs of the people we support.

Key responsibilities

• Review staffing levels and develop strategies to improve recruitment, retention and workforce planning.
• Provide trusted HR advice to senior leadership and managers on policy, employee relations and organisational change.
• Manage absence, performance and disciplinary processes to ensure fair and effective outcomes.
• Lead the development and implementation of HR policies, workforce reporting and compliance frameworks.
• Design and deliver training, wellbeing and engagement initiatives that support a healthy, high‑performing workforce.
• Support the transition of HR systems and practices as the organisation expands its care, housing and community services.

Required profile

• Professional HR expertise with a commercial and values‑driven mindset.
• Experience in a care, housing or social‑service environment, understanding of safety and compassionate leadership.
• Strong judgement, warmth and practical problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work strategically while remaining hands‑on in day‑to‑day HR activities.
