HR Business Partner – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Join a respected engineering organisation as an HR Business Partner on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work closely with the Head of HR to support managers, drive people initiatives and contribute to transformation programmes across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers to provide expert HR advice throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Support organisational change and transformation initiatives.
• Coach managers to build confidence and capability.
• Manage employee‑relations cases and advise on performance, talent development and succession planning.
• Analyse HR data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Assist with policy development and ensure compliance with UK employment legislation.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to wider HR projects.

Required profile

• 1–2 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or Junior HRBP with genuine business‑partnering responsibilities.
• Experience supporting organisational change, transformation or business‑improvement projects.
• Background in a fast‑growing or restructuring environment.
• Strong employee‑relations experience and confidence advising managers.
• Sound understanding of UK employment legislation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, pragmatic approach with a desire to develop further in HR.
