HR Business Partner (18‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially‑focused HR Business Partner to join our high‑performing team on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work closely with senior leaders in a fast‑paced professional services environment, driving people strategy, change programmes and M&A initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to design and implement people strategies that support growth, performance and engagement.
• Provide trusted advice on employee‑relations matters such as disciplinary, grievance, performance and capability issues.
• Lead organisational change projects, including restructures, workforce planning and culture transformation.
• Support M&A activities – due diligence, harmonisation, organisational design and onboarding of acquired teams.
• Manage annual compensation reviews and benchmarking to ensure market‑aligned pay.
• Produce and analyse HR metrics, turning data into actionable recommendations.
• Oversee recruitment for designated business areas, collaborating with Talent Acquisition and Finance on workforce forecasting.
• Collaborate with HR Operations, Leadership Development and other HR colleagues to deliver a high‑performance HR service.

Required profile

• Solid experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in financial or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and handling of complex employee‑relations cases.
• Proven track record of managing change initiatives and exposure to M&A projects.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
• Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and present clear insights.
