HR Business Partner – 3‑4 days/week Fixed‑Term

About the role

This six‑month fixed‑term position supports three sites across Newcastle and the North West, helping a growing industrial and manufacturing business embed HR best practice. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will work 3‑4 days per week, combining hands‑on employee‑relations work with strategic workforce planning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance and capability matters across three locations.
• Set up and embed the HR function at a newly acquired site, building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Analyse HR metrics to inform decision‑making and improve organisational performance.
• Partner with senior leaders to drive business performance through people initiatives.
• Lead and support organisational change, transformation and succession planning.
• Collaborate with wider HR teams to deliver consistent people outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an HR Business Partner role within industrial, manufacturing, logistics or engineering sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and best practice.
• Experience establishing an HR function from scratch.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Track record of supporting organisational change and development initiatives.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent (essential).
