HR Business Partner – Burnley

About the role

The HR Business Partner will work closely with senior leaders across a diverse organisation based in Burnley, influencing people strategy, supporting organisational change and driving business performance. The role involves a mix of strategic planning and hands‑on HR delivery, with occasional travel to Manchester and Lancaster.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to develop people plans aligned to business objectives.
• Lead and support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and TUPE activities.
• Coach, challenge and influence managers to improve capability and performance.
• Manage complex employee relations matters.
• Use people data and insights to inform decision‑making.
• Contribute to talent planning, workforce planning and organisational development.
• Balance strategic projects with operational HR support.

Required profile

• Proven business‑partnering experience at senior level, not just advisory or case‑management.
• CIPD Level or equivalent qualification.
• Strong track record of supporting organisational change.
• Excellent knowledge of employment law.
• Confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior leaders.
• Experience handling complex employee‑relations matters.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
