HR Business Partner – Drive Change & Build Capability

About the role
Our client, a growing not‑for‑profit housing organisation, is undergoing a period of transformation and needs an experienced HR Business Partner. Working directly with the General Manager, you will lead the HR function, support managers through change and help embed a high‑performance culture.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, including advertising, sourcing, interviewing and onboarding.
- Provide practical HR advice on employee relations, performance management, absence, wellbeing and capability.
- Support organisational change, restructuring and transformation initiatives.
- Develop and deliver workforce planning, succession planning and talent acquisition strategies.
- Design and coordinate learning and development programmes aligned to organisational objectives.
- Review and improve HR policies, procedures and employment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Maintain accurate HR records, reporting and workforce metrics.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and help build a positive organisational culture.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to build management capability and improve performance.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a standalone HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor.
- Extensive experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle across multiple vacancies.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting organisational change, transformation or service improvement programmes.
- Experience developing and delivering training and learning initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and coaching skills.
- Ability to work independently while influencing senior managers.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
