HR Business Partner – East Cornwall (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a leading FMCG manufacturing site in East Cornwall, supporting a workforce of around 1,000 employees. The role will work closely with operational managers and site leadership to deliver the people agenda, drive engagement and support business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational managers and site leadership to provide pragmatic HR guidance across the employee lifecycle.
• Coach managers on employee relations, performance management, absence, wellbeing and capability.
• Manage employee relations cases, including complex disciplinaries, grievances and performance issues.
• Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and business transformation projects, ensuring a positive employee experience.
• Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives to foster a high‑performing environment.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures and practices remain compliant with employment legislation and are fit for purpose.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Strong employee‑relations experience with the ability to manage complex casework independently.
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, distribution or a similar blue‑collar setting.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
