HR Business Partner (Generalist)

About the role

We are a fast‑paced, rapidly growing organisation with multiple sites across England. As an HR Business Partner you will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, delivering a full‑service generalist HR function that supports both short‑term and long‑term business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee relations, organisational change, performance management and people strategy.
• Lead complex employee‑relations cases, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practice.
• Support succession planning, leadership development and the creation of a high‑performance culture.
• Drive change‑management initiatives, including restructuring, TUPE activity and integration projects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date HR policies, ensure regulatory compliance and analyse HR data to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with the HR Director to shape and implement the overall HR strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a generalist HR role, preferably at Business Partner level.
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Demonstrable experience managing complex employee‑relations cases.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting organisational change, restructuring or TUPE processes.
• Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders to drive cultural change.
