HR Business Partner

About the role

Our client is looking for an HR Business Partner to help shape a healthy, values‑aligned culture. You will work closely with the Leadership Team and managers to embed strong people practices, engagement, learning and performance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day people management support to managers and the senior leadership team, covering performance, absence, well‑being, capability and general employment matters.
• Champion organisational values and behaviours, facilitate StrengthsFinder insights and support staff engagement with the organisation’s Christian faith identity.
• Partner with hiring managers to deliver value‑aligned recruitment processes and ensure a consistent induction experience.
• Promote consistent application of HR policies and people frameworks, advising managers on correct usage.
• Lead the learning and development strategy, ensuring accessible opportunities that match organisational needs.
• Work alongside the HR Consultant on governance, policy development and complex employment issues.

Required profile

• GCSE‑level literacy and numeracy.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
• Proven experience as an HR generalist or people‑focused advisor, preferably in the charity or international development sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Excellent relationship‑building, coaching and communication abilities, with a diplomatic and confidential approach to sensitive matters.
