HR Business Partner

About the role

The organisation is seeking an experienced People Business Partner to strengthen its People function. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping people strategy and delivering HR solutions across a complex, regulated engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement people plans aligned with business objectives.
• Provide commercially focused HR advice and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
• Lead and manage complex employee‑relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, restructures, redundancy and TUPE matters.
• Support organisational change initiatives, workforce planning and transformation programmes.
• Analyse people data and trends to inform strategic decision‑making.
• Drive consistency and continuous improvement across HR processes, policies and practices.
• Coach managers to build leadership capability and effective people‑management skills.
• Contribute to wider people projects such as organisational design, talent initiatives, ED&I programmes and process optimisation.
• Champion the use of technology, data and emerging tools, including AI, to enhance people services.

Required profile

• Experienced HR professional with strong technical expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management skills and ability to operate autonomously.
• Comfortable handling sensitive and high‑risk situations while maintaining credibility with senior leaders.
• Commercially minded with a consultative approach.
