HR Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a large‑scale commercial organisation based in the Tyne and Wear area. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will manage operational HR activity across multiple sites, providing strategic guidance and day‑to‑day support to maximise employee contribution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all HR activity at operational level in a fast‑changing environment.
• Provide HR direction and support to site leadership and employees, covering absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance management.
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with legislation.
• Build effective relationships with key stakeholders across sites to align HR with business objectives.
• Lead complex employee‑relations cases and support change‑management initiatives.
• Influence senior managers in performance‑management processes and coach them on recruitment and workforce planning.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering high‑quality HR service at Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner level.
• Experience within a commercial or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Ability to coach senior stakeholders and influence senior management.
