HR Business Partner

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support a portfolio of around 20 retail stores in the North West. You will act as the primary HR liaison for store and area managers, helping to shape the people agenda across the multi‑site estate.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with store and area managers to address day‑to‑day HR needs.
• Build strong, effective relationships across the retail team.
• Coach and guide managers on employee relations, performance issues, and people development.
• Support change‑management initiatives within the region.
• Provide practical, commercially‑focused advice on employment law and HR policy.
• Champion employee engagement and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Required profile

• HR generalist experience in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Solid knowledge of managing employee‑relations cases confidently.
• Ability to influence and challenge at all organisational levels.
• Proactive, solution‑focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
• CIPD qualification preferred but not essential.
