HR Business Partner / Senior HR Advisor

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established retail business to find an experienced HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor. This hybrid role (three days in the office, two days remote) will support a client group of roughly 280 employees and report to the Head of HR.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the people strategy, HR advisory, employee relations, performance management and wellbeing initiatives.
• Coach and up‑skill managers on non‑complex employee‑relations matters.
• Lead complex ER cases, including disciplinaries, grievances and investigations.
• Drive culture, values and change management aligned with business objectives.
• Manage HR projects such as employee engagement, reward and benefits reviews, and organisational change.
• Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition activities.
• Develop and present HR data and trends to inform improvements.
• Provide HR administration support as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience at senior HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor level.
• Experience in retail, e‑commerce, digital or creative sectors is advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ideally holds CIPD Level 5 qualification.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK employment law.
• Expertise in employee relations, performance management and change initiatives.
• Ability to analyse HR data and produce actionable insights.
