HR Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join a nationally‑present organisation based in Leeds. The role offers a broad exposure to the employee lifecycle, allowing you to work closely with managers and support day‑to‑day people processes in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line HR advice to managers and employees, escalating complex issues when required.
• Assist with employee‑relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and performance management.
• Take accurate, confidential minutes at HR meetings and prepare related correspondence and outcome letters.
• Coordinate recruitment from vacancy approval through advertising, interviewing, offering and onboarding.
• Manage new‑starter and leaver processes – contracts, right‑to‑work checks, system updates and exit documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date employee records and ensure contractual changes are processed correctly.
• Support the roll‑out of HR policies, procedures and initiatives across the business.
• Prepare HR reports, management information and documentation for internal use, PQQs and tender submissions.
• Contribute to HR projects and process‑improvement initiatives to enhance the employee experience.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in HR principles with a desire to develop broader expertise.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
• Excellent communication skills, able to build positive relationships with managers and staff.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of varied HR tasks.
