HR Executive – Part‑Time (24 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive HR Executive to join our team on a part‑time basis. You will help shape our people strategy, support employee wellbeing and ensure HR processes run smoothly across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop company people policies, procedures and processes.
• Monitor absence, sickness and annual leave, flag trends and support follow‑up actions.
• Provide administrative support for employee relations processes and lifecycle milestones.
• Keep team records and HR systems compliant with GDPR.
• Support training, development and engagement initiatives, embedding company values.
• Assist wellbeing programmes and measure employee engagement to identify improvements.
• Work with the Senior People Manager to identify training needs and deliver practical training plans.
• Support recruitment activities from campaign planning to onboarding new starters.
• Handle new‑starter references, contracts and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
• Assist performance management processes and talent development conversations.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in people, workplace culture and employee thriving.
• Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to see tasks through to completion.
• Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
• Discreet, trustworthy and aware of confidentiality requirements.
• Emotional intelligence, good judgement and a calm, thoughtful approach.
• Proactive, curious and eager to learn about HR processes, recruitment, training and engagement.

Required skills

What we offer

• Competitive salary £27,000‑£32,000 per year, pro‑rated for part‑time.
• 24 hours per week, flexible across three full days or spread over more days.
