HR Generalist Placement – 12.5‑Month Internship

About the role

Start date 16 August 2027, based at the Filton site near Bristol, this 12.5‑month placement offers a hands‑on HR experience within Airbus’s business‑facing HR team. You will work alongside HR Business Partners, Advisors and Employee Relations Specialists supporting multiple UK sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide digital and analytical support, creating and maintaining HR dashboards to monitor metrics such as absenteeism and headcount.
• Assist HR Business Partners on a wide range of topics including recruitment, mobility, learning, absence management, performance, engagement, grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Act as the primary HR interface for Corporate Functions and Engineering business areas, supporting managers and employees throughout the employment lifecycle.
• Ensure HR policies and processes are applied in line with local legislation, Airbus HR strategy and data‑privacy requirements.
• Contribute to strategic HR projects, reorganisations, succession planning and talent initiatives.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business with an HR focus.
• Strong digital savviness and data‑fluency, comfortable with Google Workspace and data visualisation.
• Understanding of GDPR, data privacy and confidentiality in an HR environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self‑driven attitude.
• Eligibility for a BPSS check and possible UK security clearance.
