HR Manager – Heritage Charity (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function for a well‑established independent charitable organisation in the heritage and cultural sector. This hybrid role offers the chance to make a real difference in Birmingham while developing HR strategy and supporting a purpose‑driven team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the HR team to deliver an effective HR service.
• Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management and HR policies.
• Support workforce planning, employee engagement and organisational change initiatives.
• Oversee HR systems, reporting and external HR providers.
• Review HR policies and processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Manager or in a similar senior HR role.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or higher).
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Proven experience managing employee relations and supporting organisational change.
• Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
