HR Manager / HR Business Partner

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager / HR Business Partner to join our team in Crewe. Working closely with the Chief People Officer, you will combine day‑to‑day people operations with strategic initiatives that shape the future of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees, providing advice on employee relations and ensuring legally compliant outcomes.
• Manage HR administration including contracts, onboarding, HR correspondence, employee records and GDPR‑compliant data handling.
• Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment, create engaging job adverts, coordinate interviews and deliver a high‑quality candidate experience.
• Lead onboarding, probation and workforce planning activities, supporting organisational design and succession planning.
• Support performance review cycles, coordinate learning and development programmes and help build capability across the business.
• Produce people metrics, dashboards and reports, assist with salary benchmarking and reward initiatives.
• Drive culture, engagement and wellbeing initiatives, including DEIB programmes and employee surveys.
• Ensure mandatory Health & Safety compliance and maintain related documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a HR business partnering or HR manager role.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and GDPR requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple HR processes and projects simultaneously.
• Analytical mindset with experience producing HR reports and insights.
