HR Manager

About the role

Our client is a forward‑thinking manufacturing business establishing a brand‑new site in Ellesmere Port. They are entering a rapid growth phase and need an experienced generalist HR professional to own the delivery of a co‑designed People, Leadership and Culture strategy from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Build and embed a strong people framework that attracts, develops and retains top talent.
• Drive initiatives that boost employee engagement, leadership capability and organisational culture.
• Partner with the Plant Director to finalise the workforce reward and progression framework, ensuring specialisation and capability are recognised.
• Ensure the agreed grade structure is accurately reflected in all job descriptions, offer letters and contracts.
• Champion genuine inclusion throughout the employment lifecycle.
• Play a key role in the company’s B Corp journey and sustainability agenda.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, shaping decisions that will impact the business for years.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a strategic HR generalist in a fast‑growing environment.
• Ability to work closely with senior leaders and influence organisational direction.
• Strong understanding of career architecture, skills frameworks and culture development.
• Experience designing and implementing reward, progression and grade structures.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, high‑performance workplace.
