HR Manager – Multi‑site (Field‑Based)

About the role

This field‑based HR Manager role supports a fast‑paced, multi‑site organisation with a large frontline workforce. Based in the Liverpool/Manchester area, you will travel across the region to partner with Regional and Area Managers, delivering practical HR solutions that drive performance, engagement and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex, high‑volume employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, investigations, appeals, restructures and TUPE.
• Coach and develop line managers in people‑management practices.
• Support recruitment and workforce planning across multiple sites.
• Deliver HR initiatives, change projects and organisational change programmes.
• Analyse HR metrics such as turnover, absence and retention.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualification.
• Experience in a multi‑site operational environment (retail, FMCG, logistics, leisure or similar).
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Proven track record handling complex employee relations cases.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel 60‑70% of the time.
• Based within easy commuting distance of Liverpool or Manchester.
