HR Manager – Part‑time, Sunderland

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our Sunderland office on a part‑time basis (3 days a week). Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will shape and execute the people agenda across both manufacturing and office teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver people strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead talent attraction, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
• Manage employee relations, performance management and leadership development.
• Support transformation projects and use workforce data for decision‑making.
• Drive organisational effectiveness, succession planning and workforce planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head of HR, HR Manager or HR Business Partner.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Excellent stakeholder management and commercial mindset.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.

Required skills

• CIPD Level 5 or 7 accreditation (preferred, not essential).
