HR Manager – Senior Leadership Role

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing manufacturing organisation in East Lancashire to hire an experienced HR Manager. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will sit on the senior leadership team, providing both strategic direction and hands‑on HR delivery to support the company’s continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR leadership as a core member of the management team.
• Develop strong relationships across the business and understand commercial drivers, KPIs and performance metrics.
• Identify strategic people issues and partner with managers to create effective people plans.
• Champion employee engagement, culture and behaviours to drive business performance.
• Coach and develop leaders to manage and engage their teams.
• Advise on recruitment, restructures, redundancies, succession planning and change initiatives.
• Manage complex employee‑relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances and appeals.
• Develop and maintain HR systems, processes and reporting mechanisms.
• Produce and analyse HR metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Support recruitment at all levels to attract high‑calibre talent.
• Ensure HR best practice is applied consistently and keep policies up‑to‑date with legislation.

Required profile

• Degree‑educated and/or CIPD qualified.
• Minimum three years’ experience at HR Manager or HR Business Partner level.
• Proven ability to deliver strategic and operational HR support in a commercial environment.
• Strong employee‑relations experience with capability to manage complex cases.
• Experience supporting organisational change, restructures and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
