About the role
The HR Officer will support day‑to‑day HR operations for employees at our Midlands and Yorkshire sites, ensuring HR policies and procedures are effectively applied throughout the employee lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Manage recruitment and new‑hire onboarding processes.
- Provide employee‑relations support to Heads of Department, including note‑taking and meeting preparation.
- Collaborate on HR policy development, updates and communication.
- Assist with coordination of learning and development programmes.
- Support compliance with employment law and maintain up‑to‑date policies.
- Maintain confidential employee records, benefits information and HR databases.
- Help implement new HRIS and related systems, including bulk data uploads.
- Offer wellbeing support and act as the key contact for health & safety and facilities requirements.
- Travel across the UK and Ireland to support HR activities at other locations.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of experience in a human‑resources or related role.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation and regulations.
- Proficiency with HRIS (e.g., MS D365, Simployer) and applicant‑tracking systems (e.g., Team Tailor).
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- CIPD qualification preferred (Associate level or higher).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team attitude.
- Adaptable and able to work independently as well as within a wider HR team.
