HR People Advisor (Employee Relations)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR People Advisor to deliver proactive, high‑quality HR support across multiple sites and client organisations. The role has a strong focus on employee relations and will be based in Gravesend with hybrid working flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee‑relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, redundancy and flexible working.
• Provide practical advice on UK employment law, HR policy and best practice.
• Conduct investigations, hearings and appeals.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and probation processes.
• Maintain HR records and systems, and assist with payroll and benefits where required.
• Contribute to HR projects, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor role.
• Strong employee‑relations experience.
• Sound knowledge of UK employment law.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Desirable: CIPD Level 5 (or working towards), multi‑site experience, experience in an HR consultancy.
