HR Project Manager – Interim (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Project Manager on an interim basis to support a leading London‑based university during a period of significant organisational change. Working hybrid from London, you will partner with the Chief People Officer and the HR Senior Leadership Team to deliver the People Transformation Plan and advance the People AI agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of the People Transformation Plan and wider HR change initiatives.
• Coordinate project plans, milestones, action trackers, governance and reporting activities.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and documentation across multiple workstreams.
• Collaborate with the Chief People Officer and HR leadership to drive strategic priorities.
• Produce high‑quality reports, presentations and briefing papers for senior stakeholders.
• Assist in developing HR innovation, digital transformation and People AI governance.
• Build strong relationships across HR, professional services and broader organisational stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering HR, people or organisational change projects in a complex environment.
• Experience as an HR Project Manager, HR Transformation Manager, Change Manager, PMO Lead or Programme Manager.
• Strong project governance, planning and reporting expertise.
• Experience managing project plans, RAID logs, progress reporting and stakeholder communications.
• Excellent stakeholder management, supporting senior leaders and executive teams.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of PRINCE2, Agile or MSP methodologies is advantageous.
