HR & Recruitment Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR & Recruitment Manager to work part‑time (14 hours across two days) in our Watford office. In this standalone role you will own the people strategy, recruitment and employee‑relations agenda, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall HR and people strategy for the organisation.
• Provide expert advice on employment law, best practice and HR policy.
• Design, maintain and run performance appraisal frameworks and employee‑engagement initiatives.
• Manage all recruitment activities, from sourcing candidates to partnering with hiring managers and conducting interviews.
• Oversee employee‑relations matters, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
• Continuously improve HR processes across the full HR lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a hands‑on HR generalist with both strategic and operational responsibilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence senior leadership.
• Demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement in HR functions.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• CIPD qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
