HR Services Team Leader

About the role

The Portfolio Group is seeking an experienced HR Services Team Leader to head an HR advisory team in Glasgow. This senior leadership position will drive performance, inspire staff and ensure exceptional client service across the Scottish portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of HR Advisors.
• Drive quality, performance and service KPIs.
• Act as escalation point for complex employment matters and service issues.
• Conduct performance reviews, quality assessments and formal meetings.
• Oversee daily operational performance and report to senior leadership.
• Support recruitment, training and retention initiatives.
• Contribute to strategic projects and continuous improvement.
• Drive growth and retention across the Scottish client base.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading high‑performing teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and operational mindset.
• Excellent employment law and HR knowledge.
• Confidence handling escalations, complaints and complex people matters.
• Resilient, solutions‑focused and able to work under pressure.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
