HSQE Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSQE Manager to lead health, safety, quality and environmental initiatives for a fast‑growing cleaning services business. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will champion continuous improvement and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deliver toolbox and H&S, environmental and quality training.
• Maintain CHAS and ISO 14001:2015 accreditations.
• Support the Quality Manager to retain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
• Investigate accidents, reduce risk and drive continuous improvement.
• Review risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Develop policies, procedures and documentation to meet statutory and certification requirements.
• Promote energy‑saving initiatives and efficient energy use.
• Attend and coordinate health, safety and environmental meetings across head office and client sites.

Required profile

• Pro‑active, logical and forward‑thinking.
• Flexible with working times and able to travel across regions.
• Customer‑focused with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to take full responsibility for tasks.
• Excellent communicator, confident and comfortable engaging at all levels.

Required skills

• Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH).
• Experience with CHAS accreditation.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Understanding of COSHH regulations.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office for document creation and control.
• Document writing and control expertise.
• Valid UK driver’s licence.
