About the role
The Hub Operations Manager leads the day‑to‑day running of the community café and events operation, ensuring every customer receives a warm welcome and high‑quality experience. Working closely with the Hub General Manager, the role develops the Hub as a thriving, inclusive space that supports Trusted Customer Services and contributes to Curo’s financial resilience.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily café and events catering operations, maintaining product quality, customer experience and service consistency.
- Take duty management shifts and deputise for the Hub General Manager, leading the venue safely and confidently.
- Control inventory and stock levels, minimise waste and ensure equipment and facilities are well maintained.
- Deliver excellent customer experiences, resolve feedback promptly and build lasting relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.
- Develop business plans to grow sales, profitability and satisfaction while managing budgeting, reporting and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and food hygiene standards, maintaining a 5‑star FSA rating.
- Recruit, train and supervise front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams, fostering a positive, inclusive culture.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading operations in a café, hospitality, catering or events environment.
- Hands‑on kitchen experience with ability to provide chef cover during busy periods.
- Experience supervising, motivating and developing teams in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing setting.
- Knowledge of health, safety and food hygiene standards.
- Understanding of KPIs, labour percentages and basic financial reporting.

- Strong customer service skills with a calm, confident approach to issue resolution.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management abilities.
- Ownership‑driven attitude, capable of generating ideas and taking initiative.
