Hub Operative – Logistics Support

About the role

We are looking for a Hub Operative to join us on a permanent basis. The role provides operational support to the logistics function, managing inventory, tracking supplies and supporting maintenance and repair activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with staff and suppliers to ensure clear communication, prompt delivery and provision of the right products and services.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, develop van stock profiles and answer queries from field operatives and schedulers.
• Receive and check incoming deliveries, reporting discrepancies, shortages or damage.
• Keep the warehouse and yard clean, safe and well‑organised, storing materials correctly and accessibly.
• Conduct routine audits of materials, van stocks, plant equipment, PPE and tools; assist with weekly, monthly and annual stock control activities.
• Perform PAT testing of equipment and maintain inspection records.

Required profile

• Previous experience working as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and proactive, dynamic approach.
• Capability to ask the right questions to understand customer needs.

What we offer

• Annual salary of £27,604.50.
• 37‑hour week, Monday‑Friday 8 am‑4 pm.
