Human Resources Director

About the role

The Human Resources Director will lead the HR function for New Victoria Hospital, a leading independent hospital in Greater London. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will shape people strategy, ensure workforce capability and embed a values‑led culture that supports clinical and business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR leadership aligned with Bupa Health Services objectives.
• Lead the post‑acquisition integration of people processes, policies, reward frameworks and HR systems to Bupa standards while preserving the hospital’s identity.
• Advise the senior leadership team on workforce strategy, organisational design, employee relations and change management.
• Develop and embed a strong, inclusive culture that drives engagement, learning and high performance.
• Oversee core HR services including recruitment, workforce planning, learning & development, pay & reward, and equality & diversity.
• Champion leadership development and build capability across all management levels.
• Ensure HR governance, compliance with employment legislation, information governance and healthcare standards.
• Establish HR metrics and reporting to inform executive decision‑making.

Required profile

• Extensive senior HR leadership experience in complex, regulated environments.
• Proven track record of managing post‑acquisition people integration.
• Strong advisory skills to C‑suite and senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a values‑driven, high‑performance culture.
• Experience in healthcare or similar sector is desirable.
