Humanities Teacher (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Humanities Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Guildford. The role starts in September/October 2026 and involves delivering engaging lessons in History, Religious Studies and/or Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality lessons that inspire curiosity and academic growth.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with the Humanities department and wider school staff to develop interdisciplinary projects.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum development and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding and school policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History, Religious Studies and/or Geography.
• Reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Effective classroom management and lesson‑planning techniques.
• Ability to use standard educational technology and assessment tools.
