Humanities Teacher – Full‑time position in Leatherhead

About the role

We are recruiting a passionate Humanities teacher for a full‑time position at a forward‑thinking secondary school in Leatherhead. The role involves teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of delivering Key Stage 5 lessons for suitably experienced candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Humanities lessons that develop critical thinking and a love of the subject.
• Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curricula, and optionally Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
• Maintain effective classroom management and uphold high standards of behaviour and learning.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Humanities in a secondary school setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every student.
