Humanities Teacher – History, Geography & RE

About the role
We are looking for a passionate Humanities Teacher to join a specialist independent school that supports neurodivergent learners aged 7‑19. The role starts in September 2026 and focuses on delivering engaging History, Geography and Religious Education lessons, primarily for Key Stage 3.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated Humanities lessons across KS2, KS3 and KS4.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet a wide range of learning needs, including neurodivergent students.
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Contribute to curriculum development and keep up to date with curriculum changes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and effectively manage teaching assistants.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography and/or RE.
- Confidence teaching across key stages, especially KS3.
- Commitment to inclusive education and strong behaviour management skills.
Required skills
- Lesson planning and delivery.
- Differentiation techniques.
- Classroom management.
- Collaboration with support staff.
