Hybrid Business Development Manager

About the role

This hybrid Business Development Manager role combines field sales, client meetings and remote work. You will promote a broad portfolio of IT hardware, software and technical solutions to NHS, Government, Education and other public‑sector organisations across the Northwest and Yorkshire.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business across the region through proactive outreach, networking and strategic targeting.
• Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring long‑term relationships and repeat revenue.
• Present and sell a wide range of IT hardware and software solutions.
• Navigate public‑sector procurement processes, including tenders, bids and frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting.

Required profile

• Proven track record in IT sales, preferably with hardware and software.
• Experience selling into NHS, Government, Education or other public‑sector environments.
• Strong understanding of tenders, bids and procurement frameworks.
• Confident communicator with a consultative, solution‑led approach.
• Ability to balance new‑business generation with effective account management.
• Full UK driving licence (field‑based role).

• Competitive base salary £40,000–£55,000 per year plus OTE up to £75,000.
