Hybrid Paraplanner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a growing independent financial planning practice on a hybrid basis. Working closely with Financial Advisers, you will provide high‑quality technical support throughout the planning process, ensuring recommendations are well‑researched and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare suitability reports covering pensions, investments and protection.
• Conduct technical research and analysis to support client recommendations.
• Analyse provider information and existing client arrangements.
• Use industry tools such as FE Analytics for product, platform and fund research.
• Assist advisers in developing financial planning strategies and handling complex technical queries.
• Review Letters of Authority and liaise with providers, platforms and third parties.
• Maintain accurate client records and workflows within Intelligent Office.
• Stay up‑to‑date with regulatory and technical developments.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA or wealth‑management practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and protection.
• Proven ability to prepare high‑quality suitability reports.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases.

Required skills

• Intelligent Office (iO) proficiency.
• Experience with FE Analytics.
• Familiarity with cash‑flow modelling software.
