Hybrid Workshop Engineer / Field Service Engineer

About the role

This hybrid position splits your time 50% as a Workshop Engineer and 50% as a Field Service Engineer for a leading packaging machinery manufacturer serving the food industry. You will work from the company’s UK office near Heathrow and travel across the UK to service client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and test machines in the workshop before installation.
• Install, commission, repair and refurbish packaging equipment on client sites throughout the UK.
• Travel 1–2 nights per week and be available for occasional weekend work.
• Record service activities and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Experienced Workshop Engineer, Factory Maintenance Engineer, or Field Service Engineer seeking a balanced hybrid role.
• Background in packaging machinery or the food industry is advantageous.
• Qualified multi‑skilled Electrical/Electronic Engineer with a full apprenticeship.

What we offer

• Basic salary up to £45,000 per year.
