Hybrid Workshop & Field Service Engineer – Packaging Machinery

About the role

This hybrid position splits your time 50% as a Workshop Engineer and 50% as a Field Service Engineer for a leading packaging‑machinery manufacturer serving the food sector. Based near Heathrow, you will work in the company workshop and travel across the UK to client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and pre‑install packaging machines in the workshop.
• Install, commission, repair and refurbish machines on customer sites throughout the UK.
• Provide after‑sales support, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Travel 1–2 nights per week and be available for occasional weekend work.

Required profile

• Experienced Workshop Engineer or Factory Maintenance Engineer seeking a hybrid role.
• Or an experienced Field Service Engineer looking for a better work‑life balance.
• Previous work with packaging machinery or in the food industry is advantageous.
• Qualified multi‑skilled Electrical/Electronic Engineer with a completed apprenticeship.

What we offer

• Basic salary up to £45,000 per year.
• Overtime potential of £5,000–£7,000.
