Hygiene Co-ordinator

About the role

The Hygiene Co-ordinator will ensure that all personal protective equipment (PPE) and workwear are readily available and issued to colleagues at the Moreton Bakery. You will support training and labour planning within the hygiene team, helping to maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the site laundry room and ensure PPE/workwear availability.
• Issue PPE and workwear to all colleagues.
• Carry out cleaning activities using SOPs, CICs and safe systems of work.
• Plan labour within the hygiene team to ensure all tasks are covered.
• Support management in labour planning and training updates.
• Control stock and order chemicals, workwear, PPE and other hygiene materials.
• Complete required documentation for due diligence.

Required profile

• Understanding of HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Assurance, including auditing.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to use own initiative.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient IT skills and experience with spreadsheets.
• Experience of modern manufacturing practices and industrial cleaning.
