Hygiene Manager

Are you an experienced Hygiene Manager looking for your next exciting opportunity? Join us and lead the team to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of our hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Hygiene Team across day and night shifts, planning leave and controlling absenteeism.
• Create, implement and monitor hygiene schedules, cleaning instructions and deep‑cleaning programmes.
• Provide training on cleaning techniques, chemical handling and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Conduct audits of cleaning schedules and ensure all tasks are carried out correctly.
• Work with production managers to minimise downtime while maintaining hygiene standards.
• Achieve microbiological, HACCP and BRC targets and support third‑party audit preparation.
• Maintain the Hygiene Quality Management System and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Lead shift inspections, performance assessments and continuous improvement plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the food industry with a focus on food safety.
• Relevant qualifications such as COSHH training and BRC experience; HACCP knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with managers across the business.
