IBA / Credit Control Technician – Finance

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented IBA / Credit Control Technician to join a leading global insurer’s finance team in London. This permanent hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) involves managing a dedicated ledger, ensuring accurate settlement and regulatory compliance across insurance broking accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively recover outstanding debts from brokers and third parties to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Serve as the primary finance contact for a specific portfolio, providing regular updates on account status and settlement risks.
• Investigate and resolve complex queries related to premiums, commissions, and taxes with a “right‑first‑time” approach.
• Process cashbacks and allocate incoming funds accurately against the ledger.
• Produce and reconcile monthly broker statements to ensure transparency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IBA or Credit Control function within the insurance industry.
• Strong analytical ability to produce accurate work under tight settlement deadlines.
• Confident communicator capable of firm debt chasing and collaborative work with underwriters.

Required skills

• Proficiency with insurance‑specific accounting software.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
